Todays Word: Seek His Face
Seek His Face and not just His hand today. When you are in His Presence and His face is smiling on you, His hand to provide and protect will not even be an issue. (Matthew 6; Psalm 91).

One accord
Accord-verb (used without object)
1. to be in agreement or harmony; agree. (www.dictionary.com).
We talk about being in one accord but it seems we are seeking to agree with one another and our individual opinion or interpretation. This is difficult and will rarely occur in that two totally agree on every earthly detail. However, it is very simple to be in accord with one another. If we all get in accord with God, which is simple because we have his Word, we will not have a problem agreeing together.
The early disciples in Acts (2:1) did not get together and take a vote on what was the best action and then agree upon it and go pray that God would bless it. They simply all individually chose to believe and follow what Jesus said (Luke 24:49) without adding to it or trying to reason it out.
Jesus most repeated command is "Follow Me" or the equivalent. If we all are following the same leader we will be in accord with one another. The body must follow the Head.
Jesus said, My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. (John 10:27 NKJV).

The Early Church: Restoring the biblical model - Attribute #3
Attribute 3: *It is a place where people are being added daily to the Kingdom such as would be saved Acts 2:47
(Note: I am writing these attributes exactly as I wrote them when they came from the Holy Spirit, from the asterisks to the references. The reference came later & the full meaning.)
Does this mean someone is being saved everyday? No. That is why I put the note. It does mean that people are being saved. Wherever the Holy Spirit is operating, people will not be able to remain unchanged. They will have to leave or change. Sin will never be comfortable in the Presence of God.
It also means that the church is mission minded and the growth is sought from lost people coming into the Kingdom. When Luke wrote in Acts 2:47, "...added to the church...," he meant the Body, the Kingdom, etc., not church membership forth sake of numbers.
It simply means that the mission of the local Ecclesia is the same as Jesus' mission since we are His body, i.e., "...to seek and to save that which was lost. (Luke 19:10 NKJV)."
This goes with #1 in that here they come into the Kingdom, then they are sent back out into the harvest to bring the Kingdom to others. This begins from the beginning, not after a specific call, on a one on one personal basis in whatever sphere of influence the individual functions in.

Attribute 2:
*It is a place of prayer Mat. 21:13; Is 56:7
This seems so simple. However, it has to be said. Too many seem to think prayer at church is the religious, "will you lead us in prayer?." Most of those are not so much prayers as they are saying what sounds right anyway. That is not it.
We must return to a place where prayer is not merely a way to open and close service, where we don't "say" a prayer but "pray."
Prayer needs to become not only a precursor to other "physical" actions but an action itself. A true prayer meeting would be where we gather and simply pray. Yet it is a precursor because all other "work" must be bathed in prayer. It will actually come out of and because of prayer. Prayer is the key that will bring the power to all the other attributes, even to writing down this whole list.
We need to pray and then move, not have someone make a decision, vote on it according to our budget, then ask God to bless "our" faithless decision.
Jonathan Edwards said it this way:
“It is God’s will through His wonderful grace, that the prayers of His saints should be one of the great principal means of carrying on the designs of Christ’s kingdom in the world. When God has something very great to accomplish for His church, it is His will that there should precede it the extraordinary prayers of His people; as is manifest by Ezekiel 36:37. and it is revealed that, when God is about to accomplish great things for His church, He will begin by remarkably pouring out the spirit of grace and supplication (see Zechariah 12:10).” (Jonathan Edwards, Thoughts on the Revival in New England - 1740 http://www.revival-library.org/leadership/rq_prayer.php ).

The Early Church: Restoring the biblical model - Attribute #1
These points are in no particular order other than the original order I wrote them down as I prayed regarding what the Vision of the church god placed in my heart looked like. Let's begin with:
Attribute #1:
*It is a sending place, not a gathering place. Mat. 28:18-20; Mark 16:15; Acts 13:2-4
We are to assembly together (Heb. 10:25) but the church was never meant to be a country club. We need to change our paradigm from country club to boot camp and or special ops training facility, depending upon where we are in our maturity and our calling and assignment. Regardless it is a training center to go into the world with the anointing of the Holy Spirit to carry the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Early Church: Restoring the biblical model
Introduction:
Church = Greek Ecclesia i.e. Assembly; from a root - called out; the body of Christ universal & the local "assembly."
This series focuses on the local Assembly of call out ones, of the body of Christ.
This came from time in prayer and writing down what the vision of the "church" God placed in my Spirit "looks like." When I was advised by a Great man of God and a great friend and Spiritual mentor to do this, I just started writing and then as I went back, I began to see that it was simply the early church.
It is important to do this ahead of time so both you and those following know where you are going. Where we are going, I found, is not new but God's original blueprint. The delivery, style, etc. may be new, but that is a point of stumbling for many that Satan has used to keep the Ecclesia from moving forward for far too long so religious Spirits are being cast down. We are not going to dwell there for now.
This verse of Scripture came to mind as I was writing these points down originally on my iPad tablet: (note the modern use of Tablets and Habakkuk's.
Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. (Habakkuk 2:2 NKJV)
This will be a daily series, Monday through Friday for a few weeks, starting today. It will be short posts with minimum commentary and references. Look for the first soon.

At End of Day: Sow & Reap
He who observes the wind will not sow, And he who regards the clouds will not reap. (Ecclesiastes 11:4 NKJV)
Simply Obey God even if it does not seam logical. Radical obedience will take us to new levels. Jesus never told people to wait until a better time based on earthly matters. He simply said come or go. I will say it again, simply obey.

A Good Word
Test 2 using Amplify for iPad. I now know how to edit and/or delete a post. This is a convicting word that we must get as followers of Christ concerning forgiveness & the lack of it. It will not only shut off God's blessing but His forgiveness.

If you have yet to receive your miracle…if God seems silent and far away from
you…there is hope, but you will need to be honest with yourself and explore
some areas of your heart.
During my 30 years as a pastor, I’ve known people who were angry because they
didn’t receive an answer to prayer. They heard me preach about how God is
still working miracles today, (and He is!) but when those miracles didn’t
manifest in their own lives, they got angry. Some even left the church or
stopped listening to God!
Oftentimes as I talked with them, I learned there was an area of wounding that
went much deeper than the physical symptoms they were seeking prayer for.
There was anger, bitterness and unforgiveness festering in their hearts.
That’s dangerous, because unforgiveness stops the blessings of God. In fact, it
stops the forgiveness of God! The Bible says we must first forgive others
before God will forgive us—don’t let a grudge stand in the way of your
relationship with Him.
If you have unforgiveness in your heart, release it now to Jesus. Let the
healing presence of God flow into your life.

Today's Devotional Reading
I was just discussing this verse with a friend yesterday evening having found it true through the years and then this is what I find this morning to read. "Great is Thy Faithfulness, Lord unto me!"

Fruit of the Spirit: Faithfulness
If we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself.
2 Timothy 2:13There are times we actually think we are the ones hanging onto God. The truth is
that God is the One hanging onto us! He is the faithful One.
That’s why we sing: “Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning, new mercies
I see. All I have needed Thy hand hath provided; great is Thy faithfulness,
Lord unto me!”
You can trust Him, for He is faithful. If we allow His Spirit to bear fruit in
our lives, He actually increases our ability to trust and have faith in Him.
As the Spirit reminds us of God’s promises, our heart is renewed—and we find
we have the faith to step out and obey for His kingdom.
“Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that
through them you may participate in the divine nature…” (2 Peter 1:4).
He quickens the Word of God to our minds and shows us the way to go.
“Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard
through the word of Christ” (Romans 10:17). Faithfulness to God is a fruit of

Fruit of the Spirit: Patience
Be patient then, brothers, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.
James 5:7-8In the Biblical sense, patience requires an entirely new attitude toward life
and toward our dealings with others.
As we face the difficulties of life, we must remember that as born-again
believers our faith is rooted in the belief that we will spend eternity
walking heaven’s streets of gold. And once we realize that every situation on
earth is just temporary, it changes our attitude. No matter what difficulties
life throws our way, we can persevere. “Blessed is the man who perseveres
under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of
life that God has promised to those who love him” ( James 1:11-13).
Patience toward others is grounded in another fruit of the Spirit: love—the kind
of love that puts others’ needs above our own and does not seek personal gain.
Romans 12:10 says: “Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one

A New Year: Time to Move On in the Spirit
This devotion fits with my reading this morning in 2 Kings 2 about Elijah's mantle falling on Elisha with a double portion anointing. Elisha followed Elijah until the mantle fell on him and then he moved forward in the same spirit but a double portion.
It is time to call for a "new cruse" and cast salt into the water, representative of a fresh, restoration of the Holy Ghost, a fresh anointing. Just "pleasant" (2 Kings 2:19) is not enough. "Merely existing" is no longer acceptable.
Let us begin this new year of 2011 walking in the supernatural, wholly walking in the Spirit, no longer following our own desire or the way people, including, no especially, the religious, say it should be done.
I am resolved to "live by faith in the Son of God" no matter how radical it is or how unreasonable it seems to the mortal mind. I am seeking after Christ with all that I am and pressing in to God's assignment on my life. My only desire is to minister in the Power and Anointing of the Holy Ghost. Will you join me?

Walk in the Spirit
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20Have you been merely existing in the Christian life, and not experiencing the
power of the everlasting God?
Then I want you to grab hold of this new year—it’s time to let God work in a new
you! This year you are going to refuse to allow your future to be dictated by
the world…this is the year you’re going to walk in the Spirit!
The Christian life is not complicated, but it is sometimes difficult. Why? It is
not your natural life…it’s your supernatural life. And that means to live
abundantly in Christ, you must let go of your own will and instead depend on
the supernatural power of God and the induement of His Holy Spirit!
Unless you let the Holy Spirit direct your life, you will become controlled by
your own desires and live according to the changing whims of the world.
This year, refuse to be dominated by the flesh. This year, set your mind on the
things of the Spirit so that you can walk in the fullness of His power.Further Reading
